Grey Bruce OPP are reporting the death of a swimmer at Sauble Beach.
Police say on Saturday September 5th just after 8 in the evening they were dispatched to Sauble Beach for a person in distress in the water near Main Street.
OPP say bystanders told them a person went below the surface and that had they lost sight of them.
Police say they were assisted at the scene by Bruce County Paramedics and South Bruce Peninsula Fire Department.
OPP say a person was removed from the water without vital signs. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was started and they were transported to hospital by ambulance.
At the hospital, 20 year old Troy Cupid from Toronto was pronounced deceased.
Grey Bruce OPP and Ontario Chief Connor’s Office continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.
