Grey Bruce OPP have charged a man with second degree murder
In a media release put out by OPP Monday afternoon, police say on Sunday September 6th, just after 4 p.m., they were called to a residence at Isabella Road, Saugeen First Nation for a disturbance. They say OPP officers attended and discovered a person at the residence who was pronounced deceased.
OPP have arrested and charged 22 year old Austin Cubitt from Saugeen First Nation with Second Degree Murder. He is scheduled to have a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton on September 8th.
Members of the Grey Bruce OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, continue to investigate this occurrence. OPP officers remain on scene at this time.
They said on Twitter Sunday they were investigating a serious incident and had asked people to avoid the area.
Police have not released the name of the deceased or any additional information regarding their homicide investigation.
