
Provincial Police have charged a St. Catharines man with a Highway Traffic Act offence after a single vehicle rollover on Highway 6 in Chatsworth this past weekend.
Grey Bruce OPP, Grey County paramedics and Chatsworth firefighters were called to the incident along Highway 6 near Moto Park Road around noon on Sunday.
According to police, the driver of the car and a passenger were transported by ambulance to hosptial with injuries deemed serious, but not life-threatening. Police say the passenger in the car sustained facial injuries that required surgery.
Grey Bruce OPP say officers attended the hospital and spoke with the injured vehicle occupants.
OPP say the passenger would not initially provide their identity to police or hosptial staff and once it was revealed, it was discovered the person was breaching a court-imposed condition.
Police have not provided any details about what is believed to have caused the crash, but have charged the 24-year-old male driver from St. Catharines with careless driving causing bodily harm under the Highway Traffic Act.
The 25-year-old passenger in the car from Niagara Falls was charged with failure to comply with release order.
