Durham and New Hamburg (Wilmot) took home the U14 Ontario Amateur Softball Association (OASA) provincial tournament championships this past weekend at Tara and Allenford.
Return to Play Guidelines created two bubbles of four teams each, so that all participants could enjoy safe play. There were games hosted in Tara and Allenford.
Division teams playing Durham included Tara, Baden and St. George. Durham picked up wins over Tara and Baden 11-2 and 8-1 respectively, then fell 9-5 to St. George.
However, Durham bested St. George in a rematch in the championship game 12-1.
The Durham U14 team is lead by manager, John Kollias, and coaches John Nixon and Brent Marshall.
Over 12 games this season, Durham U14 put together a record of 9-3.
