Today marks a sombre anniversary for Terry Fox.
On September 1, 1980, after 143 days and 5,373 kilometres, Terry stopped running outside of Thunder Bay, after his primary cancer had spread to his lungs.
He passed away the following June-one month short of his 23rd birthday.
The 40th anniversary of the Terry Fox Run is being held virtually on September 20th.
You can participate by running or walking around your neighbourhood, backyard, down the street, or simply around the block.

Today marks the last day #TerryFox ran and the first day #Canada picked up Terry's legacy and continued his mission.
