With summer winding down, the town of Wasaga Beach is scaling back staffing for the beach pods.
The town set up four pods on the sand covered section of Beach Drive in July to promote physical distancing and control overcrowding.
Staff monitored the number of people in each pod.
After Labour Day, the town will only staff the beach pods on weekends, weather permitting.
You can still use the pods on weekdays, but there won’t be anyone there to monitor numbers.
At the end of September, the pods will close and the town will remove fencing at the main beach.
Now that the summer season is winding down the town is scaling back the staffing of its pods on the sand-covered portion of Beach Drive, effective Tuesday, Sept. 8. Learn more here: https://t.co/zd4BCrJfSn #WasagaBeach pic.twitter.com/9eTmhcJdpX
