Drivers in Saugeen Shores take note: police are launching a traffic enforcement initiative today.
Saugeen Shores Police say officers will be looking for aggressive drivers on local streets from Aug. 28 to Sept. 7 — in what’s being dubbed Operation Stay In Your Lane.
“We are committed to road safety though accountability, enforcement, and public education. This traffic campaign will focus on the drivers that follow too close, make unsafe lane changes and drive much faster than the flow of traffic,” says Saugeen Shores Police Deputy Chief Kevin Zettel in a statement.
Police say officers are expecting a noticeable increase in vehicular and pedestrian traffic on area highways as the Labour Day long weekend approaches.
