Grey Bruce OPP have released more information about an investigation in Sauble Beach which resulted in a notable police presence on Main Street Wednesday.
Police say on August 26th, at about 12:15 in the afternoon, members of the OPP Grey-Bruce and Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Units, with assistance from OPP Emergency Response Team, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a business on Main Street.
A video posted on Twitter by Grey Bruce OPP shows the location to be in the old Home Hardware location not far from 3rd Avenue North.
Police say they seized dried cannabis, packaged cannabis edibles, cannabis oils and creams, cannabis vapour cartridges and marijuana seeds.
OPP officers also seized offence related property and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Police say two people located on the business property were arrested.
OPP note, the total worth of the seized cannabis related substances was over $62,000.
Grey Bruce OPP have charged one person, a 30 year old South Bruce Peninsula man with the following offences:
Possession Cannabis for the purpose of trafficking, section 10(2) Cannabis Act (CA)
Trafficking Cannabis, section 10(1) CA
Possession of Nabilone for purposes of trafficking, section 5(2) CDSA
The accused was held for a bail hearing in Ontario Court of Justice.
