Premier Doug Ford says his government will make sure students with special needs can return to class safely.
Today Ford said he has spoken with Education Minister Stephen Lecce recently about the issue.
“And we’re going to make sure they’re able to get back in the classroom safely,” said Ford. “They have the same rights as every other child in this Province. And we’ll make sure we pay special attention to children with special needs and I fully understand the parents being anxious on this.”
Ford says Ontario is really focused on the issue and will be ready concerning it when school resumes in September.
