Owen Sound police are looking to identify a man who was reportedly acting strangely in Harrison Park Friday.
Police say they were called at about 3 that afternoon after a mother watching her three young kids playing in the park, saw a young man approach her 4-year-old daughter and put his hands out as if he was going to pick her up.
Police say the mother’s quick response put a stop to that, but then the man reportedly climbed up a playground ladder to one of the slides, slid down and walked away from the area.
Police say they’re not sure what they man’s intentions were and would like to speak to him.
They say he didn’t say anything to the woman with the children.
Police note, the man may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol based on what was described as a blank look in his eyes.
He is described as white, in his early 20s with blonde shaggy hair nearly down to his shoulders with a heavy set build and was wearing faded grey or blue shorts, a pink shirt with rainbow details on it and is mouth and nose was covered with a blue mask.
