An Etobicoke man has been charged, after police discovered a dog inside a hot vehicle in Grand Bend.
Lambton OPP say a vehicle was parked along Government Road in full sunlight, with the doors and windows closed, while the sunroof was allegedly opened two inches.
According to reports, the dog was located inside a nylon pet carrier with a wool blanked, yelping, and appearing to be in distress.
Police say they were able to unlock the vehicle and free the dog.
OPP report the owner of the dog attended a nearby attachment to retrieve his animal, 50 minutes later.
A 27 year old has been charged with Cause Damage or Injury to Animal – Fail to Provide Suitable/Adequate Food, Water, Care, Shelter.
