Premier Doug Ford says the Ontario government is not prioritizing a full day of school over smaller class sizes.
Yesterday, he and Education Minister Stephen Lecce indicated they both believe a 1-metre separation between students can be maintained with the right elementary class-size plans.
Lecce says the government is also trying to limit points of contact for supply teachers heading into September.
He added that the government has allocated money for professional development and training for health and safety — for all teachers — including occasional and supply teachers.
