Canada’s Public Health Agency says over 100 more people have become sick from eating US grown onions.
The total number of confirmed salmonella cases from the onions is now 339, eight of those are in Ontario.
The agency says people should not eat, use, sell or serve any red, white, yellow, and sweet yellow onions from Thomson International Inc. of Bakersfield, California, or any products made with these onions.
They say they don’t believe onions grown in Canada are associated with the outbreak.
