A single vehicle crash has resulted in a number of charges against an Orillia woman.
On Friday afternoon, police were called about a vehicle that crashed into a rock cut on Muskoka Road 34 (Whites Falls Road) near John Buchler Road in Georgian Bay Township .
Upon arrival, investigators learned that the driver and a passenger of the vehicle fled the scene leaving two passengers behind with the crashed and burning vehicle.
They were taken to hospital, while the fire was extinguished and police say thanks to the k-9 unit, the driver and passenger were located nearby.
A 25 year old woman is now charged with impaired driving, operation causing bodily harm and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
In addition to the charges, the accused driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was towed and impounded for the next week.
