Provincial Police have identified the person killed in a fatal crash between a transport truck and a car in Tara earlier this week.
South Bruce OPP, Tara firefighters and Bruce County paramedics were called to Bruce County Road 10 and Concession 6 just after 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.
A passenger in the car, 27-year-old Preeti Phatak of Scarborough was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was extricated by firefighters and airlifted to a London hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. The driver of the transport truck did not suffer any injuries.
OPP have not provided any details on what is believed to have caused the crash.
Police say the investigation into the collision is continuing and further updates will be provided as they become available.
