Ontario's Minister of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Lisa MacLeod will join Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MPP Bill Walker at Grey Roots Museum and Archives later this morning (Thursday) for what's expected to be a funding announcement.
The stop in Grey County comes after MacLeod was at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre in Southampton yesterday with Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson and Walker to unveil $550,000 in funding to help the local arts and tourism sectors in Bruce and Huron counties.
The largest chunk of arts and tourism funding announced Wednesday — $205,000 — will go to the Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation. Seven other organizations, festivals or events are also receiving provincial grant dollars.
According to a government release, the province's investments into tourism and creative sectors have continued during the pandemic through community museum operating grants, the Celebrate Ontario program and the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

- $205,000 for the Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation
