
The Orangeville Police Services Board has agreed to a 2020 contract with the Orangeville Police Service.
The Association represents 40 uniformed officers and 26 civilians.
While the current contract expired on December 31, 2019, the negotiated settlement will cover January 1 – October 1st , 2020.
The agreement allows a pay increase of 2.25%, educational allowances, and severance entitlements for those members who will not be joining the OPP in the transition from Orangeville Police.
Full details of the financial impact of this agreement will be shared once the Ontario Provincial Police has made their hiring decisions and the full cost of disbandment has been realized.
The OPP Recruitment process is nearing completion for both uniform and civilian jobs, with notification of offers going out the week of September 7th.
