While Lake Huron has not reached an all-time record high, monthly record highs were broken three times so far in 2020.
The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority says lake levels exceeded their previous records in May, June, and July of this year.
Lake Huron was at its highest ever level in October of 1986.
Based on a forecast from the National Hydrological Services, officials expect there will be a seasonal drop in lake levels this Fall.
It is expected Lake Huron levels will also drop throughout August.
