Two Windermere residents face drug possession charges after police received a tip about a possible impaired driver in Orillia
Tuesday just before 3 pm police got the call. They then patrolled the area and found a pickup that matched the description in a West Ridge business parking lot.
The officer conducted a sobriety check and, while speaking with the driver, formed grounds to initiate a drug possession investigation.
Both the driver and passenger were arrested. Police say a quantity of drugs were seized.
A 32-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man were both charged with drug possession.
Both accused have an October 13th court date in Orillia.
