The Mayor of Goderich says part of the newly renovated beach-front boardwalk has re-opened to patrons.
However, John Grace says the process of re-opening the wooden walkway is a “slow, agonizing process.”
Goderich town council voted in 2019 to update the beach front boardwalk, prior to wind storms ravaging parts of the coastline in October and November.
It was originally planned for the Goderich waterfront to be fully operational by the end of June, until the COVID-19 pandemic slowed construction along the shoreline.
Mayor Grace says he expects the boardwalk will now be completed in September.
