The civic long weekend has been a busy one for the Southern Georgian OPP Marine Unit.
On Friday night, marine officers stopped a vehicle with stolen plates on the way to the marina on Overhead Bridge Road and arrested a 26 year old Tay Township man, along with his 34 year old male passenger.
Police say the driver was also a suspended and open liquor was found inside the vehicle.
On Friday night, officers checked a pontoon boat with three occupants aboard in the Minihaha Point channel near Honey Harbour, where the operator registered a “FAIL” result on the breathalyzer and a 45 year old Milton man was taken into custody.
About 24 hours later, marine officers patrolling Chimney Bay near the government dock on Beausoleil Island stopped a Zodiac with a single occupant for a boating operation offence, who registered a “FAIL” result on the ASD and a 58 year old man was arrested.
