Police have laid charges following a long stand off in Orillia.
OPP say that on Thursday just after 10 P.M., a man entered a home in the West Ridge area and confronted a couple regarding a previous dispute.
Police say the man threatened the two with a weapon and then fled the area.
Officer searched for the man, whose identity was known, and found him at his home a short distance away.
The man refused to turn himself in. Crisis negotiators arrived and resolved the situation, after some time.
A 40 year old Orillia man was arrested and charged around 7:30 this morning (Friday).
