Canada’s PM Justin Trudeau has downloaded the new Covid-19 tracing app and says you should too.
Today he announced that the Covid-19 Alert App is ready for download in Ontario and will soon be available for the rest of the country.
He says it’s just another tool to protect your health.
“Here’s how it works,” he said. “The app will let you know if you’ve been in contact with someone who has the app and has tested positive for Covid-19.”
Trudeau adds that it’s voluntary and doesn’t collect your location, your name or other personal info
It only works to trace and the slow the spread of the virus and can help prevent future outbreaks if enough people sign up.
