The movies are back.
Cineplex has announced it will re-open 25 of its theatres in Ontario tomorrow.
According to reports, the province's chief medical officer of health allowed theatres to expand capacity beyond the blanket 50 person restriction that applies to indoor gatherings.
Cinemas will now be permitted to host up to 50 people per screening, with multiple shows allowed to take place in the same building at one time.
Galaxy Cinemas Owen Sound is not among the 25 theatres in Ontario re-opening on Friday, according to a news release issued by the company.
However, the company says in a statement is taking a phased approach to re-opening, and expects the majority of its other 43 locations to resume operations over the next several weeks.
