Another weekend, another round of stunt driving charges on the Bruce Peninsula.
Provincial Police say 16 motorists were charged under the Highway Traffic Act for driving more than 50 kilmometres an hour over the posted speed limit on Highway 6 between Wiarton and Tobermory from Friday, July 24 to Monday, July 27.
None of the drivers hit with the provincial offence the past few days are from the local area.
All of them had their licences suspended and vehicles impounded for one week.
According to information provided by OPP, there have been 128 people charged with stunt driving on Highway 6 from Wiarton to Tobermory this year.
An overwhelming amount of those have been laid in the summer months, with 115 people charged with stunt driving on the stretch of highway on the Bruce Peninsula since the May long weekend.
