Collingwood will be testing out paid parking at Sunset Point on the upcoming Labour Day weekend.
Council members voted in favour of the project at their meeting last night.
It would charge $5 per hour for parking along Sunset Point Park, as well as the park at Princeton Shores.
The town will be using a phone app to collect payment and parking violations will carry a fee of $30.
However, the parking lot at Sunset Point’s east end will remain reserved for residents only.
