Saugeen Shores is on the hunt for a new Chief Administrative Officer.
The town issued a brief news release Thursday explaining current CAO David Smith has announced his intention to pursue a new career opportunity.
“CAO Smith has successfully delivered on many of Council’s priorities,” says Saugeen Shores Mayor Luke Charbonneau in a statement. “I wish David well, on behalf of all members of Council and the community.
Smith has been with the town since 2016. It's expected he will depart in September.
It appears Smith is leaving his role in Saugeen Shores to take over as CAO of Port Hope. The municipality published a news release Thursday welcoming Smith as its new CAO effective Sept. 21, 2020.
Recruitment efforts for a new CAO are underway in Saugeen Shores.
