A Go Fund Me account has been set up for a Christian Island family, who lost their home in a weekend fire.
It broke out early Sunday morning on the Beausoleil Island First Nation reserve and the family managed to escape unharmed, but didn’t have home insurance.
The fundraiser by community members hopes to raise $10,000 for Duncan and Marylou Carruthers , who had lived in the home for about 20 years.
