A driver tried to pull a fast one on police in Springwater Township on the weekend.
OPP say that on Saturday night just before 8 o’clock, an officer was driving behind a pick up truck on Flos Road 11 West when the truck pulled onto the shoulder.
Police report that the officer saw the driver walk, with poor balance, around the front of the truck as he switched seats with the front passenger.
The officer stopped the vehicle and could smell alcohol coming from inside the truck and noticed an alcoholic beverage in the passenger side door.
A 26 year old Toronto man has been charged with impaired driving.
The passenger who switched seats with the driver registered an ALERT during a breath test and received a three day licence suspension.
