The Grey Bruce Health Unit reminds there is no requirement for a COVID-19 face mask medical exemption card, and warns there are some being sold as a scam.
The medical officer of health's order mandating face covering use at indoor public spaces in Bruce and Grey counties took effect Friday, but there are several exemptions for young kids, people with medical conditions and those who feel a mask inhibits their breathing in any way.
For anyone unable to wear a mask, Public Health stresses there are no doctor's notes or medical exemption cards of any kind required — only a verbal declaration is needed.
