Shallow Lake Minor Hockey Registration & Coaching Applications
With the anticipated start of the hockey season only 2 months away the executive have made the decision to proceed with opening online registration on Monday July 20th.
There is still some uncertainty as to what the season will look like as far as games and tournaments go but we are hopeful we will get to that point at some time during the season. We are still planning for a start to the hockey season in mid September which may mean a skills development period only. However, we don’t see that as such a bad thing as players will receive double the practice time they would normally receive.
We understand that some kids could find all practices with no games boring and lose interest so we will do our best to try and keep things motivating, fun and interesting.
Opening registration will allow us to see the numbers so we can prepare for the upcoming season and be ready when the word comes down from Hockey Canada & the OHF that we are good to go. Registration fees will not be collected until we are certain hockey will go ahead but we do ask that you register early to help us determine our numbers and to also avoid any late fees that will be in imposed.
We will reopen coaching applications as well as a number of people missed the deadline as a result of the confusion associated with Covid and an early end to the season. Applications are being accepted for both Rep and Local League teams so get your name in if you are interested in either of these positions.
