Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has invoked their mandate after a fatal police-involved shooting in Haliburton Highlands.
A heavy police presence in Haliburton today following an incident at the Valu-Mart in Minden around 8 am that saw vehicles damaged after an individual was allegedly asked to wear a mask and had an altercation with an employee.
While police say the area is now safe, they ask that you remain away from Indian Point Road near Eagle Lake until police complete this investigation.
