Police are looking for the public’s help in locating a missing man in Wasaga Beach.
On July 7, 2020, at 6:51 a.m., members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a missing person from an address on George Avenue.
Police say 54-year-old Richard Kocik was last seen by his family at approximately 11:00 p.m., on the evening of July 6, 2020.
It is believed that he left the residence on foot, and a clothing description could not be determined.
Richard is described as:
- 5’11” tall
- medium build
- goatee with mustache
- shoulder-length salt-and-pepper coloured hair
- footprint tattoo on his left arm, a heart tattoo on his left chest, and a family crest tattoo on his left shoulder
OPP Aviation Services, and members from the Central Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Central Region Canine (K9) have been in the area since July 7, on foot and ATV.
Police have since called off the search, but say Kocik remains missing and the investigation is ongoing.
