Grey Bruce OPP have charged a Sarnia man with impaired driving and stunt driving on Highway 6 on the Bruce Peninsula.
OPP say at about 8:30 on Saturday evening, (July 11) an officer clocked a blue car doing over 175km/h in an 80km/h zone near Limberlost Road, in South Bruce Peninsula.
Police note that's more than twice the limit.
They say while officers were speaking with the driver, the accused showed signs of impairment and failed the approved roadside screening device test.
The driver was arrested for impaired driving where a breath test at the OPP station in Wiarton reportedly showed over twice the legal limit of 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
A 60 year old Sarnia man faces impaired driving charges and a racing charge.
His licence is suspended for 90 days and the vehicle they were operating was towed and will be impounded for seven days.
