The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society has announced that it will begin limited contact adoptions today at all of its animal centres across the province.
However, there are new limited contact adoption protocols in place.
Here’s how it works:
1. View animals available for adoption online.
2. Complete our Meet Your Match® survey to help match you with compatible animals.
3. Contact the centre where the animal is located to learn more about the animal you are interested in adopting.
4. Arrange an e-meet and greet online and complete adoption paperwork digitally.
5. An appointment will be set for you to pick up your new friend.
These new protocols will ensure that physical distancing is maintained to limit contact, while ensuring team members are present to help see the animals off with their new family and answer any questions.
