The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit has put an extended heat warning into effect.
Risks for heat-related effects are greater for young kids, pregnant women, older adults and people with chronic illnesses and those working outdoors.
Daytime highs are expected in excess of 30 degrees celcius with humidex values in the high thirties to low forties.
The heat warning covers today through Friday, July 10th.
