Getting Ontario back on track from Covid-19 by getting things built.
That was the message today as Premier Doug Ford highlighted over $2.6 billion in highway construction projects this year alone.
“We’re widening Hwy 3 between Essex and Leamington from 2 to 4 lanes,” said Ford. “We’re widening the 401 between London and Tilbury from 4 lanes to 6 lanes and we are twinning the Garden City Skyway on the QEW going into St. Catherines.”
Ford says the upgrade of these projects in the Ontario highway system and more will boost the economy via new construction jobs.
The Premier says people are upset with the potholes and want more transit-oriented communities.
It was also announced today that Leamington and Kingsville are joining the Stage 2 reopening tomorrow.
