City police are crediting citizens for their quick actions in helping save the life of a man who fell in the Owen Sound Harbour.
Owen Sound Police, Grey County paramedics and Owen Sound firefighters were called to the east harbour wall yesterday after a man fell into the water and was in distress.
Police say emergency services arrived within minutes to find the man was being assisted by a passing boater in the harbour.
First responders took over, and police say the man was brought to shore and taken to Grey Bruce Health Services for medical treatment.
Owen Sound Police say both witnesses who called 911 and a boating bystander acted quickly to save a life.
