Police have two suspects in custody after an early morning takedown on Highway 21.
At 7:11 am, police say they were called about a suspicious vehicle travelling from Saugeen Shores towards Owen Sound.
Police stopped a silver car which backed into an OPP cruiser during the stop.
The driver and passenger were arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle.
A search of the vehicle also revealed possession of illegal drugs.
OPP say they seized 10 grams of fentanyl worth $10,000 and over $2,000 in cash and drug paraphernalia.
Two males – a 17-year-old and a 19-year-old, both from Kitchener, face combined charges including possession of stolen property under $5,000 and possession for the purpose of trafficking opioids.
The driver also faces charges for dangerous operation of a vehicle and driving without a licence.
Callers to Bayshore Broadcasting this morning reported a police pursuit prior to the arrests, with one witness saying police cars squeezed the suspect vehicle off the road in front of Westside Nurseries.
The witness reported that police drew their weapons and pulled the suspect driver from the vehicle, handcuffing him at the side of the road.
Both the accused now have court dates scheduled for September 24th in Owen Sound.
