The Province is doubling its investment in Ontario’s Social Services Relief Fund with a $150 million funding boost.
Today Premier Doug Ford said it’s to improve homeless shelters and create opportunities for long term care housing.
“This funding will help municipalities, renovate shelters, purchase new facilities and prepare for new emergencies,” said Ford.
It will allow municipalities and urban Indigenous community partners the ability to protect their most vulnerable citizens.
Ford says no one should worry about whether they have a roof over their head.
