Masks are close to being made mandatory in Toronto and Peel.
The bylaw, if approved today, will go into effect July 7th requiring masks to be worn in all public indoor spaces.
Officials with Caledon, along with Brampton and Mississauga made a similar announcement this morning.
Peel’s Medical Officer of Health and the Mayors of those municipalities decided to explore measures that would require non-medical masks in public spaces to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The measures will be considered at upcoming council meetings in July.
Other areas like Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph have already had a mandatory mask order for several weeks now.
