It got a little bit noisy in Grey and Bruce counties as the clock struck 7 p.m. Wednesday night.
Cars and trucks honked horns, while people walked the streets banging pots and pans as a regional celebration was held to honour this year's graduates who missed out on traditional festivities because of the pandemic.
Local emergency services in some areas of Grey Bruce also flashed lights and sounded sirens to mark the occasion.
The planned show of support was intended for graduates of all ages in the region — from Kindergarten, Grade 8, high school and post-secondary and adult education programs.
It accompanied many virtual ceremonies also held by many schools in the area yesterday.
Social media feeds also filled with grad pictures and videos under the hashtag, #GreyBruceGrad2020.
