Shelburne Police continue to see multiple drivers driving way too fast through town.
Local authorities say most of the speed limits in Shelburne are 40, 50, or 60 km/h, yet lately officers have been catching drivers going well over that, the latest was caught going 132 km/h.
Sergeant Paul Newmann says that kind of speed is dangerous on a 400 series highway, but to see it on Second Line near Fiddle Park is not acceptable.
A 48 year old Richmond Hill resident was charged on June 20 with stunt driving as a result.
Meanwhile, a 39 year old Collingwood man had his motorcycle and license taken away after an officer stopped him for driving 116 km/h in a 50 zone on Victoria Street on June 19th.
Local police also wanted to remind drivers about impaired driving after youth were seen in vehicle in Shelburne consuming marijuana on June 23.
The driver was found not to be impaired but police say they found marijuana accessible to the driver and it was obvious some had been consumed by some of the people in the car.
