
The state of emergency in Ontario has been extended to July 15.
The motion passed this morning in the legislature and Premier Doug Ford says he hopes that will be the last extension.
Even if the the state of emergency expires, some of the emergency orders – like bans on large gatherings – are likely to remain in place.
Medical Officers of Health in each region will still have power to make things like masks mandatory in commercial establishments.
Toronto and Peel Region moved on to Phase Two today, allowing more things to reopen, while Windsor-Essex is the only area to still be in Phase One.
