Headwaters Health Care Centre in Orangeville is thanking the community for its support during the COVID-19 crisis.
The hospital has started up its procedures and surgeries again and for that reason they aren’t able to take any food or drink donations past June 30th.
People were so generous during the last few months, keeping front-line workers fed and the workers felt the love.
Registered Nurse Olivia Fairclough says some shifts they didn’t have time to think about food but there was always plenty available to them to stop, refuel, and get back to helping patients and saving lives.
Fairclough says she felt like the community really appreciated how hard they were all working and the risks they were exposed to.
The hospital is however still taking PPE donations, both supplies and monetary donations to purchase things like ear-loop masks, N95 masks and gowns.
Deliveries of PPE can be made at the hospital shipping and receiving department Monday to Friday from 8 am to 3:30 pm.
