Extra pay for front-line workers announced by Premier Doug Ford hasn’t come in yet.
About 375-thousand front-line workers in Ontario are still waiting to receive a pandemic pay premium they were promised about two months ago.
The provincial government says the cash – is coming soon – but they haven’t given a specific date as to when.
It was offered to staff in long term care homes, emergency shelters, supportive housing, corrections and some staff in hospitals and was later expanded to public health nurses and paramedics.
