Owen Sound Police helped located a three-year-old boy who went missing at Harrison Park for a short time Thursday.
City Police say they were contacted by a family who were unable to locate their three-year-old son after playing near the toboggan hill at Harrison Park.
Police say the family only spent a short amount of time searching before contacting police, as they were unfamiliar with the area and terrain of the park.
Owen Sound Police officers responded immediately and began walking hiking trails and searching the bush area.
Police were able to quickly locate the three-year-old along the fence line to a neighbouring farm, after the boy made his way to the top of the hill.
The boy was missing about one hour before he was found. He didn't suffer any injuries.
Owen Sound Police say “credit goes to the family for contacting police immediately, which contributed to the successful location of the boy.”
