The Salvation Army of Goderich and Clinton has partnered with the United Way of Perth-Huron to create care packages for those isolated during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Community and Family Services Coordinator Shannon Daniels says 50 of the packages will go to residents in the area who do not have regular contact with others, during the province’s state of emergency.
Daniels tells Country 104.9 News the packages contain items from local businesses, with items such as baked goods, tea, and produce — with the goal to support mental and physical wellness.
If you know someone who is isolated and could benefit from a care package, you are invited to provide their name, phone number, and address to the Goderich Salvation Army at 519-524-2950, while supplies last.
Businesses who provided items:
– Elizabeth’s Art Gallery
– Sweethart Baking Experiment
– Cravings
– Art’s Landscaping
– Maitland Market & Supply
– Culbert’s Bakery
– Bayfield Berry Farm
