A 19 year old Orillia man faces assault and weapon possession charges after reports of a suspicious person in the Westridge area of the city this week.

Yesterday around 6:30 am, police received a call about a suspicious man walking in the Westridge area.

It was learned there was an altercation in the same area and another Orillia man was sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Later yesterday, the accused was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
