Port Elgin Main Beach is set to re-open later this week.
The Town of Saugeen Shores says the beach will open for walking, exercising, sitting and swimming on Friday.
The breakwater project is still underway on the north side of the beach, so the Town advises people to use caution in that area.
There are still no public washrooms available for use and only limited garbage cans.
“Everyone is expected to carry out their own garbage when leaving the beach,” a statement from the Town of Saugeen Shores explains.
Beach-goers are being urged to maintain adequate physical distancing.
Social gatherings of more than five people remain prohibited by provincial emergency order.
